Frozen Shoulder or ‘Adhesive Capsulitis’ is a common source of pain in the shoulder.

Frozen Shoulder basically means that your shoulder pain and stiffness is a result of shoulder capsule inflammation (capsulitis) and fibrotic adhesions that limit your shoulder movement.

Unfortunately the cause of Frozen Shoulder is still not yet known. There are many theories but the medical world has not yet come to a consensus.

The symptoms of Frozen Shoulder come in 3 Stages and can greatly vary in time.

  1. Freezing
Progressive loss of range of motion
    Pain around the shoulder
  2. Frozen
    Minimal Pain
No further loss or ability to change range of motion
  3. Thawing
    Decrease in Pain
Gradual return of range of motion
Weakness and instability due to lack of use
